I'm Colin Hunt, a software consultant based in Newfoundland, Canada. I build apps, help other people build theirs, and occasionally write about the process.

I'm a co-founder of Prospre, a meal planning app serving thousands of users across iOS, Android, and Web. Building and running a real product end to end — dealing with scale, managing infrastructure, iterating on feedback — is the foundation of everything I do.

Today I work as an independent consultant. I partner with founders and engineering teams to build production software, advise on architecture and product decisions, and ship features across mobile, web, and backend. I'm currently contracting with Expo, helping people build and ship beautiful apps.

On the side I build small tools that interest me — Hex, a push-to-talk voice prompt refiner, and Maffs, a daily math practice app. I write about the things I learn along the way on the blog.
